About Tavorly
The right recipe,
on every line.
Tavorly began with a frustration anyone who's run a kitchen knows: the way restaurants share recipes is broken. We're building the platform that fixes it — one source of truth that reaches every line, correct and current.
Why we're building this
The problem we couldn't unsee
Walk into almost any growing restaurant and you'll find the same thing: the recipes live in a grease-stained binder, a shared drive, a group text, and a stack of laminated cards — and no two of them agree. The dish that made the first location great gets cooked four different ways by the tenth.
It's not carelessness. It's what happens when a business outgrows paper. A spec changes and the update reaches some people and not others. An allergen swap never makes it to the card on the line. A new hire trains on last month's version. And when something goes wrong, nobody can say for certain which recipe was actually live.
We think the fix isn't more documents — it's a single source of truth that's authored once, approved, and delivered to every line, with food-safety and allergens built in, and proof that the change actually arrived. That's the whole idea behind Tavorly: change a recipe once, and know every location got it — safely.
What we believe
The principles behind the product
Food safety isn't a setting
Critical control points and allergens are fixed in the product — never something a theme can hide or a config can turn off. Safety should never depend on someone remembering to leave it on.
One source of truth
The answer to recipe chaos isn't another document — it's fewer of them. Author a recipe once; every kitchen sees the current, approved version. Copies are where drift begins.
Built for the line
The people who cook are the real users. That means dark, glare-resistant, readable at arm's length, big enough for gloved hands — and it keeps working when the Wi-Fi doesn't.
Prove it, don't assume it
Pushing a change isn't the same as it landing. A recipe update isn't done until you can see that every location has it — so 'done' means verified, not sent.
Restraint is a feature
One standard, themed per brand. We say no to novelty for its own sake, because a kitchen tool that's busy or clever gets in the way. Calm and consistent beats flashy.
Honesty over hype
We'll always tell you what Tavorly does today and what it doesn't do yet. A demo should show you the real thing on your real menu — not a promise.
Where we are
Early, and building with operators
Tavorly is early. We're partnering with a small number of restaurant brands to get the core exactly right before we scale — because a tool the line depends on has to earn that trust. If the binder problem sounds familiar and you'd like to help shape what we build, we'd love to hear from you.
