English is what your team authors in. Spanish unlocks per brand; two other languages are on the roadmap.

Languages & translations controls which languages the line can read.

English is the source your team authors in, and always on. Everything else is a translation of it — so a change to an English recipe is what drives a change to every translated copy, and there is never a second original to keep in sync.

What you will see

The screen has two states, depending on whether translation is enabled for your brand.

Before it is enabled, English shows as source · always on and the other languages read Coming soon, with the note that additional languages unlock automatic AI translation of your whole menu.

Once enabled for your brand, Spanish becomes a real, selectable language. Turn it on and Tavorly drafts translations of your published recipes; cooks pick their language from the device menu on the line.

⚠ “Coming soon” against Spanish means “not enabled for your brand yet”, not “not built”. Spanish is supported. French and Portuguese are genuinely not supported yet and are shown to keep the roadmap visible.

Enabling Spanish is done by Tavorly, per brand — ask us. It is not a switch on this page.

What translation does, and does not do

  • It drafts; it does not decide. Translations are AI-generated from your English source, and your team can correct them. A corrected translation is remembered.
  • A glossary protects your own words. Brand terms, dish names and things you want left alone can be pinned so translation does not “helpfully” translate the name of your signature sandwich.
  • English never moves. Turning a language off does not touch your source.

Whether to turn it on

The honest test is whether anyone on your line reads a language other than English more comfortably. If so, this is one of the highest-value things in Tavorly: a spec someone can only partly read is a spec they will partly follow, and the cost of that shows up as inconsistency rather than as a complaint.

If your team is entirely English-speaking, leave it off. An unused second language is another surface to keep correct.
